Tour highlights

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali Rwanda

On your arrival at the airport in Kigali, your guide will receive you and then transfer you to Volcanoes national park, a park filled with variety of mountain gorillas that have attracted many gorilla tourists to Uganda. On Arrival, you will check in at the lodge and rest for the evening.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking safari

Have your morning breakfast and then be taken to the park offices. The rangers will then brief you about the dos and don’ts of trekking the mountain gorillas before heading out for gorilla trekking in the forest. There is no real time known for the exciting exercise but coming face to face with the gorillas in Rwanda is a moment worth taking. Immediately after trekking, return to the lodge where you will have lunch. You can also use the last hours of the day for a tour to view the eye catching Lake Bulera and Ruhongo, you will then relax for the overnight and dinner.

Day 3: A visit to Dian Fossey Tomb in Volcanoes

You will enjoy a morning hike and then start your hike to Dian Fossey Grave yard and the research centre. This is were Dr. Fossey the famous primatologist spent lots of time habituating , studying as well as conserving the mountain Gorillas in Rwanda.

Day 4 : Transfer to Nyungwe National park

Have breakfast and then transfer to Nyungwe forest since it has variety of habitants including the bamboo, montane forest, swamps, grasslands, bogs and is also mountainous. It also provides some of the great Golden Monkey trekking in Rwanda.

Dinner and overnight at Nyungwe forest Lodge/ Nyungwe Hill top Lodge/ Gisakura Guest House

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe national park

Have breakfast and then start your chimpanzee trekking safari in Rwanda, this forest is in search of the colonies of the habituated Golden Monkeys. The other wildlife species include the grey cheeked magabeys, Angolan colobus, blue monkeys, owl faced monkeys and L’Hoest monkeys.

Day 6: Transfer to Kigali City

Early in the morning, you will set off and drive to Kigali in the afternoon or evening. Have lunch and be transferred to your hotel

Dinner and overnight at the Hotel Des Millecollines.

Day 7: Visit the Genocide Memorial site & Departure

You will visit to Genocide Memorial where you will find the remains of the Tutsis and the moderate Hutus that were killed during the 1994 genocide are preserved. After enjoying the city tour and Lunch, transfer to the airport for your next flight.
